I’ve watched Melanie rise from a talented graphic designer for Scion (back in the day) to a world traveling, film director winning awards in Europe and the US for her self produced, self directed films. It’s pretty amazing to watch a friend conquer their dreams.

I have always followed it way more than women’s wear, even since being a young teenager. It excites to me no end, a definite obsession. If you’re a long time blog reader, you’ve seen my posts about the Japanese line PHENOMENON, which I still get chills over. I guess I can chalk it up to being a tomboy, but something about the choices designers make for menswear sits better with me. A lot of women’s wear can be overly girl and overly sexy (at least for me). I find menswear tends to push harder creatively, while keeping the body fully clothed. Everyone in the world has a different opinion about clothing and style – but maybe there are other women out there who can relate to this.

I wanted to post this blog months ago after Fashion Week but it seems fitting now that Spring is upon us. I could look at these photos all day. Here are some of my favorites from Spring to Winter 2013 in menswear. And p.s. It was hard narrowing this down, even though it seems like a lot. Enjoy!
